Zebra Pack Pvt Ltd recognises that consideration for the environment is an integral part of its commercial operations. The following areas have been identified as key in ensuring that any adverse environmental impact is minimised:

RAW MATERIAL MOVEMENT

Raw material movement and supply is a significant part of the production process.Zebra Pack stores all material by bulk silo to minimise transport and unloading costs and to reduce raw material waste and the need for baling sacks.

RECYCLING

The development of efficient recycling is absolutely essential to our industry. At Zebra Pack, we collect all plastic waste material where the resources consumed in collecting and recycling are less than the resources freed by the reuse. Plastic waste is pelletised and re-extruded in-house to produce recycled film that customers are encouraged to purchase. Customers are also encouraged to support recycling of product schemes and energy-from-waste schemes for unsorted and contaminated waste rather than send it to landfill sites.

WASTE MINIMISATION

We also look to minimise waste in the production process by improving our operational procedures and quality control.

HEAT, LIGHT AND POWER

The extrusion of polythene is an energy intensive process. We constantly keep in contact with the machinery manufacturers and appraise all new developments that will allow a more energy efficient process

STAFF

Our staff are urged to consider the environmental impact of their actions both at and away from work. In particular, we stress sensible measures with regard to lighting, heating and use of water on the premises.
